ROLAP provides more cost-effective and flexible solutions which provide incremental data storage and less processing costs due to integration with current relational systems.

HOLAP - Hybrid OLAP comprises best of MOLAP and ROLAP

It also allows simple new ratios, variances and groupings to be defined in a point-and-click fashion, and for data to be filtered or ranked. End-users do not have to pre-define such requirements.
